Look Good... Feel Good!

by | |

And you can’t put a price on feeling good! But for a lot of us, that task
can be daunting! Sometimes we dread walking out the door, especially when our body confidence is low. The good news is that the opposite is also true. Your confidence soars when you feel good about how you look. When that happens, it shows in almost everything you do.

Haven’t you had days when you said to no one in particular,
“Wow! I feel good! Nothing makes me feel better than putting on my favorite Wacoal bra, throwing on a favorite outfit and stepping out, declaring to the world,"I look good.” Well, guess what, those days can occur more often. Read on to find out how you can have more of those days.

They say, “In life, there aren’t any guarantees.” However, one thing that you are guaranteed to do, is to age. But how you age really can be entirely up to you. The simple fact is that aging is not the result of any one single factor, but is the cumulative result of a number of factors. However, there are several steps one can take to slow down or even reverse the aging process.

So, even though we can’t stop the aging process, we can, control how we do it. Yes, we all know people that use (and sometimes overuse) of cosmetic products and procedures will slow down the aging process, or at least the appearance of it. Even though this may help some people look younger, it doesn’t necessarily mean they feel younger. So, while looking great may be of importance to many people, feeling great should be that much more important.

But first, we need to separate the aging factors into three distinct categories. This is important because the three categories give us clues as to how to handle the factors contained within them. The three "primary" categories that affect how we age are:

    • The things we do to ourselves and which are easily correctable (relatively speaking).
    • The micro level factors programmed into our very cells, which until a few years ago seemed impossible to change.
    • The macro level factors programmed into our body as we age such as hormonal changes, many of which can indeed be modified.

And with those categories in mind, "the things we do to ourselves" are, of course, are the easiest things to modify. As we age, our bodies undergo several changes, the most obvious ones being physical. We may start to show signs of aging with the appearance of fine lines that slowly creep onto our faces, weight gain, or with the daily discovery of a new gray hair or two.

So, how do we combat the feeling of dread that can come along with the aging process?
First, in order to truly feel great, you must begin with a plan for taking care of yourself physically with the proper diet and exercise.

Taking good care of your body will not only help you to feel better, it can also bring about a more youthful appearance as well. Believe it or not, just changing your diet alone will impact the look and feel of your body, including your skin, hair, and nails too.

There are so many benefits of living a healthy lifestyle, such as increased energy, disease prevention, and even mental health. Healthy eating habits can help improve memory and even fend off depression.

Being in good health and making healthy living a lifestyle,
and not just a temporary solution, can mean not only living a longer life, but a higher quality of life as well. None of us can totally stop the aging process, at least not yet, but we can shape the way we age. There is so much information available to us, and so many tools and tips to utilize, we can all age with style, finesse and grace. So, don’t age like milk. Age like fine wine – getting better and better with each passing year!
